CHILDRESS - Lou Ellen Slaton, 94, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Slaton was born Jan. 30, 1913, to Edgar and Addie Cooper. She and her husband Bill were owners of the Childress Livestock Commission. Survivors include a niece, Theta Lowe of Kingston, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
