Bio

Son of Hal and Mary Rachel (Kelley) Lighthill. He attended school in Litchfield. He married Shirley LaVonne Mieth in 1951 at Loup City. He lived in Ravenna, Alda, Cairo and Grand Island. He worked for Cold Storage, the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant, the power plant, Ulry Talbert Co. and Conoco. He worked for Supersweet Feeds for 31 years before retiring. He was survived by three daughters, Vicki, Patricia and Tracy and one son, Douglas, three brothers, Dale Lighthill, Richard Lighthill, and Donald Lighthill, and two sisters, Betty Wichern and Stella Reimers. He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis, and three brothers, Jack, Laverne and Paul, and an infant sister.
