Bio

Son of Robert and Roberta Burnett. Veteran - World War II - U.S. Marine Corps. James was preceded in death by his wife, Dortha and by his brother, Art Burnett. He was survived by a daughter; four sisters, Grace Smith of Lipan, Texas, Annie Fay Smith of Gilmer, Texas, Ruth Handy of Fountain Valley, California, and Yvonne Breneman of Ann Arbor, Michigan. He taught school for 44 years before retiring. (Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Texas, April 24, 2003)
