Dortha Faye Slayton, born in rural Greenwood, Wise County, Texas in 1924 to Henry Clifton Slayton 1899-1975 & Celia Belle True 1895-1982. She was raised on the High Plains of Texas in Floyd and Hale Counties and married a Mr. Burnett. She died on 23 February 1991 in Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas.
