Bio
Larry G. Junso, age 58, former Watertown resident, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at a Vermillion, SD hospital. Larry Gene Junso, the son of Edwin and Mavis (Meseberg) Junso, was born on February 1, 1948 in Watertown. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Watertown. He attended schools in Castlewood. He farmed with his father on the family farm five mile west of Castlewood until he became disabled following a farm accident. He married Sharon Pies in 1970 and the couple moved to Watertown. He moved to Vermillion in 1986 then in 2004 he moved to the Wakonda Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; his infant daughter, Peggy Lynn; two brothers, Lewis and Dennis; and one sister, Eunice Kannas. He is survived by one daughter, April (Walter) Foltz of Watertown; his brother, Galen (Pam) Junso of Watertown; his sister Linda (Walter) Johns of Vermillion; his sister-in-law, Roxanne of Peoria, AZ; his brother-in-law, Harold Kannas of Watertown; several nieces; nephews; and cousins. Memorial services were held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown, with Pastor Paul vanGorkom officiating. Interment at at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
