Jeanette Ruth (Gibson) Wolfe, 82, completed life’s journey on Sunday June 4th, 2017, and is resting comfortably in the arms of her Lord. The Family is offering a time of visitation at Welch Funeral Home Friday evening, June 9th from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock in the evening. The following morning at Welch Funeral Home, family and friends are invited to a service to celebrate Jeanette’s life at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2017. Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery with Brother Ted White officiating. Mrs. Wolfe was born in Longview, Texas on April 18th, 1935, to Clarence and Molly Gibson. She was born into a large family with seven brothers and sisters. An East Texas native, she attended Hallsville schools. Jeanette’s life revolved around her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren and was known to all as Memaw. She had a sweet spirit, loved the Lord and listened to gospel music. Her creativity was endless as her hobbies were painting, wood burning, flower arrangements, cake decorating, leather work, jewelry making, sewing, and quilting. Her most notable feature was she loved others! She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Wolfe, her oldest daughter, Debbie Smith, her parents, Clarence and Molly Gibson, brother, Joe Gibson and sisters, Iva and husband, K.D. Winchester and Judy Brunson. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lori Wolfe; grand-children, Logan, Meghan and Aaron Springs; Steven, Brieanna and Amanda Wolfe; Grover and wife, Jenny Smith, Johnathan Smith; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Hailey Smith; brothers, Marlin and wife, Nell Gibson, Tom and wife, June Gibson, and Richard Gibson; sister, Nelma and husband, Doyle Owens; sister-in-law, Dorothy Gibson, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
