Albert W. Novak, 77, of Hallettsville, passed away August 25, 2010. He was born on September 13, 1932 to Frank and Angelina Korenek Novak in Wharton, Texas. He married Esmeralda Charles Novak and settled in Hallettsville. Albert is survived by his wife, Esmeralda of Hallettsville; step-children, Yvonne (Ben) Acuna of El Campo, Texas, Adolfo (Liz) Estrada of Benavides, Texas, Adrian (Ester) Estrada of Karnes City, Texas, Brian (Connie) Estrada of Battleground, Wash., Chris (Debra Jones) Estrada of Bay City, Texas; his children, Danny Ray (Melody) Novak of El Campo, Texas, AJ (Janet) Novak of El Campo, Texas, James and Liz of Hebbronville, Texas, Shirley Novak of El Campo, Texas, Carol (Dan) Foytik of El Campo, Texas, Linda (John) Driscol of El Campo, Texas, Joni Novak of El Campo, Texas, and adopted son Alan Smith of Gonzales; two brothers, Bennie (Barbara) Novak of El Campo, Texas, and Frankie (Janet) Novak of El Campo, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herman and Raymond Novak; and two sisters, Vlasta Yackel and Annie Pivetz. A visitation was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville, Texas, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville, Texas with Rev. Tommy Chen as the officiant. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2010 at 8 a.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas, with a Rosary being recited at 9 a.m. that same morning. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. August 28, 2010 at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel.
