Corpus Christi Caller-Times (TX), Sun., 21 Nov 1999: BLUNTZER - Doris Kennedy Lile, 74, passed away on Friday, November 19, 1999, in a Corpus Christi hospital. Mrs. Lile was born on February 24, 1925, in Mexia, Texas, the daughter of Jack and Lucille (Russell) Kennedy. Mrs. Lile was a previous manager of the Chamber of Commerce in Freer. She retired in 1984 after 12 years of employment as manager of the Mobil Federal Credit Union in Freer. She was a Baptist and a life member of the Alice and Freer PTA's. Mrs. Lile was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Lile in October 1998; a son, Russel Lile in August 1998 and a brother, Billy Fred Kennedy. She is survived by two sons, Tommy Lile of Santa Fe, Texas, and Steve Lile of Bluntzer; one daughter, Carol (John) Huntsinger of Calallen; a sister, Maureen Rodriguez of Dallas; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 1999, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Chapel with Reverend Floyd Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.
