Billy Fred Kennedy, 47, died at 5:32 a.m. today in a local hospital after a long illness. He had lived here 23 years and was retired from PPG Industries in 1973 after 21 years' employment. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of Independence Lodge No. 1337 AF&AM. Surviving are his wife, Jane; and two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Lile of Freer and Mrs. Maureen Miles of Dallas. Cage-Mills Everhart Chapel.
