Obituary Gonzales inquirer June 12, 1974 Rites Held For Mrs. Nesloney Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the St. John ofthe Ross Catholic Church in Orange Grove for Mrs. Adela Nesloney, 76, who died Sunday at 9:30 p.m. in an Orange Grove Hospital. A rosary service was recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Doe e Funeral Home in Mathis where the body was taken. Burial was in the St. John of the Cross cemetery in Orange. A native of Gonzales county, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Schenkewitz, and had lived in Orange Grove since 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Rudolph. Survivors include one son, Ervin Nesloney of Cuero; two daughters, Mrs. Roland Haverman of Orange Grove; Mrs. Lambert Zissy of Woodland Hills, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Fred A. Havel, Sr., Mrs. Louis Benes and Mrs. John D. Wade, all of Gonzales; eight grandchildren and three grandchildren. Adela "Delia" TRENKELBACH, born in Gonzales County, Texas, was a daughter of Charles "Carl" TRENKELBACH and Emma HESSART, both of Germany. Her father, Charles "Carl" TRENKELBACH, died February 9, 1901 near Cost, Gonzales County, Texas. On August 26, 1902, Adela's mother, Mrs. Emma (HESSART) TRENKELBACH, married W. M. SCHENKEWITZ in Gonzales County, Texas. Adela TRENKELBACH, using her step-father's surname of SCHENKEWITZ, was married November 26, 1919 in Gonzales County, Texas to Herman L. NESLONEY, son of Emil NESLONEY and Zofia "Sophia" WOSTAL. Adela died June 9, 1974 in Alice, Jim Wells County, Texas. SSDI gives date of death as Jun 15, 1974, but TX death index & headstone has Jun 9, 1974.
