Jacqualine Ines Hoffmann, 84, Medina, ND died Friday May 5, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck, ND. Jackie was born June 20, 1932 at Medina, ND, the daughter of Ernest and Mary (Hins) Martel. She attended Medina Public School and grew to womanhood in the area. She and Rudolph G. Hoffmann were married December 22, 1950 at Medina, ND. They made their home on a farm North of Medina until 1954 when they moved into Medina where she worked at the Media Café and also a Daycare Provider for many years. Jackie also worked as a Health Care worker from 1972- 1973. In 1988 she became a Green Thumb Worker for the Medina School until 1996. Following the death of her husband December 1, 2005, she continued to live in Medina. Jackie was a member of the United Church of Christ, choir member, Sunday school teacher, first women usher, the alter guild, secretary of the church and secretary of the Women’s Fellowship. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 46 years, a founding member of the Medina Heritage Center, having been secretary and curator for 24 years. She is survived by two children, Rory (Kim) Hoffmann and Amy (Ron) Binder; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two brothers, and three sisters, Ruth Martel, Richard Martel, Marvin (Donna) Martel, Dorothy Mahoney and Linda (Dean) Jose. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Anthony, one grandson Skye, one brother, Harold, two sisters, Rosie and Delores.
