Amy Lynne Binder, 61, of Streeter, ND passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022, with her family by her side at Jamestown Regional Medical Center after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Napoleon, ND. There will be a prayer service held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Napoleon. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. There will be a private family burial at Fischer Cemetery in Tappen, ND. Amy was born August 23, 1960, to Rudolph G. and Jacqualine (Martel) Hoffmann in Jamestown, ND. She grew up in Medina and attended Medina Public School, graduating in 1978. Amy met the love of her life, Ronnie L. Binder in December 1975, while he was home on leave from the United States Marine Corp. She told him he was the one she was going to marry one day. Ron wanted to get married on his birthday so he would never forget their anniversary, and on January 22, 1978, they were united in marriage. They were blessed with two children, Heather and Skye. As a family they made their home in Tappen, ND. Through the years she held various jobs including opening her own home daycare where she cared for many children around the Tappen area. She attended United Tribes Technical College, pursuing her nursing degree. Amy spent over 30 years working in the nursing field. She started her career at the ND State Hospital and most recently ended her nursing career at the ND State Hospital in Jamestown, ND on February 14, 2022, when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Amy enjoyed spending time with her family, cherishing every moment she spent with them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Amy enjoyed camping, traveling, racing, and scrapbooking. Along with spending numerous hours with her aunt Tootsie playing cards and marbles. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ron Binder, daughter Heather Moser, grandchildren Brianna & Jordan Dewald, Kohl and Rebecca Moser & Kylee Moser & John Laib, her great grandchildren Riley, Brynlee, Skyler, Bridger, Bristol, and Haven Dewald, Oliver Moser, Odelia and her youngest great granddaughter Aurora Amy named after her. Her brother Rory & Kim Hoffmann. Her brother in laws, Rueben Jr. & Rhonda Binder, & Rodney & Danni Binder. Her nephews and nieces Logan & Tory Hoffmann, Lindsay Hoffmann, Mandy & Bryan Rath, Brandon & Amber Binder, Jared & Melissa Binder, Cassie & Jud Siewert, Dylan & Jordan Binder. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Skye Lee, parents Rudy & Jackie Hoffmann, in-laws Rueben Sr. & Lorane Binder, brother Anthony & son-in-law Brian Moser.
