William Eldon Donihoo, age 88, of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away May 1, 2017. William was born December 21, 1928, in Collin County, Texas, to Ernest Marian Francis and Viola Angeline (Kirkland) Donihoo. He married Bobbie Janiece Roberts on July 11, 1950, in McKinney, Texas. William was employed with Kraft Foods for thirty-seven years in Garland. He then worked for the McKinney ISD as an electrician for five years. William was a member of South Crockett St. Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas. William was a good father and husband. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Donihoo of Van Alstyne, Texas; sons, William Eldon Donihoo, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Michael Glenn Donihoo and wife, Donna of Tom Bean, Texas; daughter, Barbara Janiece Foster and husband, Mike of Garland, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruby Spencer and Virginia Clayton, an infant sister, and grandson, Josh Foster. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Cal Farley’s Boy and Girl Ranch, P. O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas, 79105.
