Virginia Clayton, age 83, formerly of Princeton, Texas, passed away December 6, 2014, in McKinney, Texas. Virginia Clayton was born November 9, 1931, in McKinney, Texas, to Ernest Marion Francis and Viola Angeline (Kirkland) Donihoo. She married J. I. Clayton, Jr. on June 9, 1950 in McKinney. Virginia was a member of Crockett St. Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Francis Clayton) Cummings and husband, James of Garland, Texas; sons, Jerry Wallace Clayton and Ernest Wayne Clayton and wife, Nancy, both of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Noel Cummings of Rowlett, Texas, Brent Cummings and wife, Melissa of Garland, Texas, Jeremy Clayton, Jason Clayton and wife, Katrinia of Cameron, Missouri, Clint Clayton and wife, Noel of Groesbeck, Texas, Amanda Clayton of Sachse, Texas, and Samantha Clayton of Carrollton, Texas; fifteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Eldon Donihoo and wife, Bobbie of Van Alstyne, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. I. Clayton, Jr., daughter-in-law, Diana Clayton, great-grandsons, Jay and Jayden Clayton, and sister, Ruby Spencer. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Grove Community, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
