Bio

Son of Frank Leaper/Leeper Hughes, Sr. and Pearl Blanch (Thornburg) Hughes. He had been a resident of Corpus Christi since 1948. He retired from the Schlumberger Wells Services after 45 years of service. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Hughes of Corpus Christi; two sons; three sisters, June Moseley of Andalusia, Ala., Judy Hoelsher of Alice, Texas, and Jo Ann Day of Alice, Texas; two brothers, J. B. Hughes of Corpus Christi and Frank L. Hughes of Lafayette, La.; and one uncle, Homer Thornburg of Fritch, Texas. (Corpus Christi Caller, Texas, February 25, 1983)
