KEARNEY — Diane R. Panowicz, 58, of Kearney died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at her home near Kearney. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kearney eFree Church with the Rev. Brian Klein officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Diane was born on Oct. 30, 1958, in Kearney to Gilbert J. and Betty A. (Lynch) Gorgen. She attended Kearney High School and graduated with the class of 1977. She married Ronald Panowicz on Feb. 16, 1980, in Kearney. Diane was employed as the manager of the Cabela’s Call Center in Kearney for over 31 years. She enjoyed time with family and regularly attended her grandchildren’s various activities. Her friends and family will also remember Diane as a hard worker who enjoyed life in the country, especially the sunsets. Surviving relatives include her husband, Ron Panowicz of Kearney; daughter, Shawn Koch and her husband, Travis, of Kearney; son, Nate Panowicz and his fiancé, Tyler Pierce, of Grand Island; grandchildren, Aiden, Keegan and Ava Koch of Kearney; and sister, Lisa Marple and husband Jeff of Lincoln. Diane was preceded in death by her parents.
