Memorial created based on information on death certificate. ******************************* Father: Not Listed Mother: Martha Ann Swain Widow at time of death The following was provided by Contributor EJ Parker (48529285): Sarah Cockrell was the daughter of George and Martha Swain Cockrell. Her birth date shown on her death certificate appears incorrect based on other supporting census data. Her father died about 1865 shortly after her birth in March of 1864. Her mother remarried to Elias Flanagan in December of 1865. Sarah married David Flanagan in 1881. He was a widower with two small children. David was also the younger brother of her step-father, Elias Flanagan. Sarah and David had seven more known children. David died at the age of 59 in 1907, leaving Sarah with children ages 8 to 25. Sarah died in 1933 at the age of 69 in Corsicana, Navarro County, Texas and was buried at Zion's Rest Cemetery where her mother was also interred.
