Calvin Roy Tischler, 38, warehouse manager for Crystal Ice for 15 years, died Tuesday in a local hospital Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 US Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Rodney Watson officiating Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park. Mr. Tischler was born in Winters where he graduated from high school. He married Jeanna Byrd in 1978 in /Winters and moved to Abilene in 1979. He was a member of Lytle South Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; his mother, Annie Tischler of Winters; two brothers, Harvey Tischler and Edwin 'Pip' Tischler, both of Winters; five sisters, Adalene Tomlinson of Llano, Serena Maas of Norton, Nelda Briley and Eva Hollis both of Winters and Josie Knight of Ballinger; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. --Abilene Reporter-News, August 30, 1995 **contributor Janyth Ussery
