Garnie James Lane ROGERSVILLE -- Dr. Garnie J. Lane, 71, of 633 Main St., a dentist in Rogersville for the past 40 years, died at 2 a.m. Monday [11/23/1964] at Holston Valley Community Hospital, Kingsport. He had served on the Rogersville City Council a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary K. Marsh Lane; four sons, Dr. Paul Lane, Dr. Lynn Lane and Dr. Joe Lane, all of Rogersville, and Dr. Donald Lane of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Gale Baker of Oak Ridge, Mrs. Bettye Sheeler of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. Joe Davis of Rogersville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Colboch-Price Chapel by Rev. James Pitts and Rev. Charles Hurlock.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The body will remain at the Colboch-Price Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday Kingsport Times, Monday, November 23, 1964
