Bio

Mr. J. M. Lane, age 79, father of Dr. G. J. Lane of Rogersville, died at his home north of Church Hill, Saturday at 7 a.m., after a lingering illness. Survivors include three sons, Dr. G. J. Lane of Rogersville, J. R. Lane of Johnson City; C. H. Lane of Church Hill; one daughter, Miss Cleda Mae Lane of Church Hill; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday at Piney Grove Church with the Rev. W. E. Watson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Rogersville Review, June 7, 1945
