Calvin C. Davis Sr., 91, was born on Jan. 14, 1926, to Joe and Ellie Davis in Crossville and passed away on March 15, 2017, in Crossville. He was a farmer and a business man. Calvin is survived by his sons, J.C. and Lana, Tony and Anita, Larry and Cheryl, Calvin and Theressa, and J.E. and Lisa; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Davis; brothers, Claude, Kermit, Herman and Kenneth; and sisters, Hattie Reed, Etta Koger, Tressie Frady, Nettie Summers and Alma Ledbetter. The family will receive friends at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. on Friday, March 17, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. with service to follow. Bro. Tom Hassler will officiate and burial will be in New Era Cemetery. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
