Bio
Robert “Bob” Nelson, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Sheridan Manor. He was born on April 8, 1926 in Giltner, Nebraska. Bob was the son of Fay Lillian Nelson Juett. He was married to Rose Ellen Minnie Wells who preceded him in death in 1973. Bob was kind and generous, always seeming to wear a lovely smile. He loved working on all things mechanical, using his skills to help family, friends and neighbors. His favorite pastimes were fishing and going to auctions where he started collecting old oil lamps. He always drove a Ford pickup and was always looking to buy a new one just for the fun of shopping at car dealers. He is survived by his three children: Frank and Dawn Nelson of Colorado, John Nelson of Missouri, and Juanita and Gary Harlow of Sheridan. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 with a visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints on Colonial Drive in Sheridan. Interment will follow in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
