Bio
Madaline was the daughter of the late, Willie B. and Tullia Mel (McElwee) Lamkin. She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Tony Leon and Clement Courville. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Graham O Peavy; one daughter Ashley Richard Lipford and husband, Herman of Enterprise, AL; two sons, Shannon Richard and wife, Anne of Osyka, MS, and Chris Richard of Baton Rouge, La; two step-sons, Donald Peavy and wife, Melissa of Baton Rouge, LA, and Sid Peavy of Baton Rouge, two sisters, Lynn Leon of Fordoche, La. and Desi Courville of Walker, La., two brothers, Jerrold Lamkin and wife Mary of Port Allen, La. and Travis Lamkin and wife JoAnne of Winchester, Va.; seven grandchildren. She was a homemaker for many years enjoying cooking, cake decorating and entertaining family and friends. She enjoyed music and dancing and was a member of the Cosmopolitan Dance Club. Her journey could have not been complete without the caring love of Debbie Brown and Heather Meadows; for that we are eternally grateful. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Mike Fritz, Deaton Mitchell, Shelley Hernandez, Chris Black, Mary Sunne, Alysha Bonvillian, Dr. Lauve, Jewel Taylor, Melissa Broussard and all the staff at Pennington Cancer Center, also Dr. Gerald Miletello and his staff at Baton Rouge General.
