Dan Moody McCurley, 90 of Van Buren went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 25, 2016 in a local nursing home. He was a self-employed used car salesman, mechanic, and truck driver. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a past member of the Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew jackson McCurley and Maude Ann Crites McCurley; three sisters and six brothers. Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. The family will visit with relatives and friends after the memorial service He is survived by his wife, Vivienne (Lemley) McCurley of the home; one daughter, Darlene Dickerson and husband, Tony of Lewisville, Texas; one son, Dan McCurley and wife, Sandy of Plano, Texas; one step daughter, Marsha Thorman and husband, Lloyd of Van Buren; two step sons, Mike Manning and wife, Leslie of White Hall, Arkansas, Mitch Manning and wife, Silvia of Roswell, Georgia; one sister, Helen McCurley of Texas; Several step grandchildren.
