Bio

Theresa Whitfill Odlozil, 90, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Theresa was born in Kennedale, Texas, to the late Anthony E. and Mary Margaret (Kelly) Whitfill. She grew up in Alma and graduated from St. John High School in 1944. On November 11, 1946, she married Johnnie Odlozil and they made their home in Ennis. She worked for over 16 years as the Secretary for the St. John Catholic High School. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, the Red Hatters Club, Catholic Daughters, KJZT #25, and the Altar Society. She loved to sew and was requested by many to make wedding and prom dresses. She also loved to cook, play dominos and dance. Her family and friends were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie; brothers: Clarence, Gilbert, Lloyd; and sisters: Henrietta and Thelma. Survivors include her sons: Ron Odlozil and wife, Becky, and Richard Odlozil and wife, Laurie; daughter, Terry Becker and husband, Philip; grandchildren: Kellye, Coleman, Taylor and wife, Haley, Jordan, Courtney and husband, Michael, Justin and wife, Susan, Ashley and husband, Derek, Brigette, and Clayton; great-grandchildren: Becca, Chase, Samantha, Katelyn, Calvin, Aria, and Layla; brothers, Fred Whitfill and Paul Whitfill; sisters: Gertrude Langley, Geraldine Gurley, and Lucille Prestidge; other relatives and many friends.
