Thelma Whitfill Pruitt, 90, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Benton, Arkansas.Thelma was born in Alma, Texas on March 18, 1922 to Eaghart and Mary (Kelly) Whitfill. She grew up in Ennis; she attended Alma School and graduated from Ennis High School. On October 17, 1944 she married Mitchell Pruitt and they made their home in Ennis.She worked for Ennis Business Forms for over thirty years as a PBX operator and worked for Kucera's Grocery Store. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters and Our Lady of Fatima. She loved being a mother and caring for her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards and dominos. Her greatest joy was her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.She is survived by four sons: Mitchell Pruitt and his wife, Kathy, George Pruitt and his wife, Phyllis, Charles Pruitt and his wife, Jan and Jude Pruitt and his wife Ramona; one daughter, Thelma Pearl Toepfer and her husband, John; seven grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: three brothers: Clarence Whitfill, Fred Whitfill and Paul Whitfill; four sisters: Gertrude Langley, Theresa Odlozil, Geraldine Gurley and Lucille Prestidge along with nieces, nephews and many friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mitchell Pruitt, two brothers, Gilbert Whitfill and Lloyd Whitfill and Thelma's twin sister, Henrietta McClintock.Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant.
