Burial was in Clinton Cemetery. She was born July 12, 1903 to William James Nelson and Fannie Bell Winchester. She married Fred Baumgardner, who preceded her in death July 2, 1944. She later married Henry Cofer who also preceded her in death July 16, 1972. She is survived by a daughter, Elsie Phillips of Winnsboro; and five step-children, Hershel of (sic) Cofer of Houston, Hubert Cofer of Pasadena, Leona Quinn, of Lubbock, Ella Mae Carden of Como and Wayne Cofer of Lubbock, one brother; the Rev. W.L. Nelson of Greenville, one sister; Mamie Weeks of Caddo Mills and a brother-in-law, I.C. Ballard of Greenville.
