Estelle Annie Schiller, 99, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Estelle was born January 17, 1917, near Elgin, Texas, in Travis County to Fred and Annie Prokschl Klaus. She was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elgin, TX on October 26, 1941 by Rev. Herman Engeling. She married Edwin Joe Schiller on January 14, 1940 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elgin, TX, officiated by Rev. Herman Engeling. Estelle and Edwin moved to Rowena before settling in Eola, where they farmed and ranched. Together with family and friends, she enjoyed polka dancing and playing dominoes and cards. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, and crafts. Mrs. Schiller was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Joe Schiller of 65 years; parents Fred & Annie Prokschl Klaus; her brothers David & Fred Dale Klaus; and her sisters Lorene Wiesner, Toni Wiesner, Ruby Kriedel, Dorothy Marburger, & Adelle Schiller. Survivors include her son, her daughter, two grandsons, a granddaughter, six great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and one brother. Funeral service December 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. from obituary at Harper Funeral Home.
