Bio
Edwin J. Schiller, 89, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in San Angelo. Funeral service April 15 at Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Edwin was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Travis County, Texas, to parents Ladis and Lydia Dusek Schiller. He married Estelle A. Klaus on Jan. 14, 1940, in Elgin, Texas, and they moved to the West Texas area where they farmed and ranched for many years. Edwin loved hunting, fishing, dancing and playing dominoes, and he also loved listening to his "Polka" music. Edwin especially loved fishing with his brother "Pershing," running lines on the river. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who thoroughly enjoyed the company and love of his family. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rosie Mae Schiller; and one brother, Alvin Pershing Schiller. He was survived by his loving family, wife Estelle A. Schiller of San Angelo, one son, one daughter, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. from obituary in San Angelo Standard-Times
