Martin "Mike" Hlavinka, Jr., 89, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Lake Arthur Place in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born on August 20, 1927 in East Bernard, Texas to Martin and Victoria Hlavinka. Mike was a lifelong resident of this area and member of the Catholic faith. He retired from Southern Union Gas as a supervisor after 40 years of service. Mike was a United States Navy veteran serving his country during World War II. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Vivian Hlavinka, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his three daughters, Sandy Stansbury and Blaine Dugas, Carol Jean Hlavinka and Paula Kay Hussey and husband Paul; two sons, Thomas Martin Hlavinka and wife Jackie and Keith Richard "Bumper" Hlavinka and wife Bridgett; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Burial: Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas Levingston Funeral Home, Groves, Texas
