Bio

Mary Louise Fite LeBlanc was born March 22, 1918, and passed away November 27, 2016 in Carthage. Louise was the youngest of eight children born to Frank and Nancy Celina Ellis Fite, Sr. She graduated with the Carthage High School class of 1934 and married George E. Underwood. George served as a pilot in WWII and was killed in action in 1944. Later she would marry Jesse G. LeBlanc who would also precede her in death. Louise was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and charter member of the Carter Circle. Mrs. LeBlanc worked for Hawthorn Life Insurance, was a charter member of the Hawthorn Funeral Home Ladies Auxiliary, and was active in her community. Louise was a graceful, and loving lady of the greatest generation.
