Bio

Georgia Vlasta Mikulencak, age 93, passed away November 19, 2020 in Bartlett, TX. She was born to Frank and Marie Michalek in Granger, November 4th, 1927. Georgia married Frank J. Mikulencak on August 16, 1949. They celebrated almost 65 years of marriage and did everything together while also working side by side in the family business, ‘Mikulencak’s Variety Store’ in Granger. During retirement, they joined a bowling league, traveled, fished, and took walks. Georgia enjoyed watching sports. She made it a priority to attend daily Mass and was a faithful member of St. Cyril & Methodius Church where she volunteered her talents and lived her faith. While a resident in the nursing home, Georgia looked out for her neighbors and helped as she could. She loved playing dominos, was always upbeat, and took what crosses came her way. Georgia Mikulencak was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We will miss her dearly. Georgia is preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Mikulencak, infant daughter Catherine Mikulencak, daughter Lucy Jane Frank, granddaughter Dr. Kallina Mikulencak, sisters Mary Knapek, Frances Klepac, Hattie Klepac, Agnes Stojanik and brothers, Frank, Anton, Joe, and Johnny Michalek. Georgia is survived by her son Dr. David J. Mikulencak and wife Pat of Elgin, daughter Diana Bosshard and husband Steve of Gatesville, her sister and best friend Evelyn Demirsu, grandchildren Dr. David M. Mikulencak and wife Megan, granddaughters Kristina Mikulencak of Austin, Dr. Heather Hamilton Luchessi and husband Chris of Round Rock, grandsons, Dr. John Bosshard of Bryan and James Bosshard of Gatesville, great granddaughters, Campbell and Kate Mikulencak of Ft. Worth, and many loving nephews and nieces. We wish to thank the caregivers at Will O Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett for their loving care and to all of those who brightened her days. Celebration of life service will be streamed live and available for viewing via: sscmchurch.org on Monday, 10AM at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX with Father Hilario officiating. Rosary will begin at 9:30AM. Interment service will follow at Holy Cross cemetery.
