Majors officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Manley died Sunday at 9:37 p.m. in a lcoal hospital after an illness of several weeks. Born Nov. 5, 1889 in Georgia, he was the son of Tom Manley and Jane Roach Manley. He was married to Letha Ethel Gillcrest on Nov. 28, 1908 and she died on May 19, 1960. On Dec. 24, 1968 he was married to Pearl Looney. Mr. Manley was a retired farmer and served three terms as Hunt County commissioner. He was a member of Mineral Heights Baptist Chruch and a 35-year-member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Survivors include his wife Pearl Manley of Greenville; three sons, Polly, Wayne and Ralph Manley all of Greenville; three daughters, Mrs. A.E. Gauntt of Greenville, Mrs. C.E. Black of Dallas and Mrs. Margaret Wilcox of Houston; a brother, Emmett Manley of Greenville; 19 grandchilren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Bobby Jack Manley, four brothers and a sister.
