Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Sat, 14 JUan 1978, page A2, Deaths, Looney COMMERCE - Mrs. Maude Looney, 91 of 2901 Sterlin Hart Dr. in Commerce died at 5:30 a.m. Friday in a Commerce hospital. Funeral services ware today at 2 p.m. at Jones Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Ridley, Rev. Willard Talley and Rev. Doyle Wilson officiating. Burial is at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Looney was born June 19, 1886, in Georgia to Tom and Jane Manley. She married George Looney. Mrs. Looney had lived in Commerce for 41 years and was a resident of Campbell before that. She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church, in Commerce. Survivors include three sons, P.J. Looney of Wichita Falls, J.R. Looney of Greenville and George Looney, Jr. of Commerce; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Taylor of Grand Prairie and Mrs. Agens McReynolds of Lancaster; two brothers, Bob Manley and Emmitt Manley, both of Greenville; and 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Looney was preceded in death by her husband, George Looney, and a son.
