He died Sunday afternoon in Citizens General Hospital. Burial is in Tidwell Cemetery. Mr. Manley was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Campbell to Bob Alvin and Letha Gilcrest Manley. He married Ethel Robins on Nov. 11, 1961 in Greenville. A carpenter, he was a member of Lamar Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of Greenville; daughters, Sandra Lou Lemmon of Memphis, Tenn. and Tammie Farmer of Greenville; step-daughters, Linda Motley of McKinney and Jannie Arnold of DeSoto; brothers, T. Polly Manley and Ralph Manley, both of Greenville; sisters, Daffie Lee Gauntt and Doris Black, both of Greenville, and Margaurite Wilcox of Houston; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bobby Manley in October, 1968; son, Michael Manley in October, 1965; step-son, Norbert Rolins in December, 1970; and two grandsons. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
