Bio

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, from the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg for Robert Leroy Kifer, 32, of Marion, Indiana, who died there Monday, January 9. Born in Brockway, March 25, 1928, he was the son of Ralph and Freda Weissnerfluh Kifer. He was married to the former Helen Lutz, of Oil City, who survives. They lived in Lancaster prior to moving to Marion in 1954. He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Marion and served in the Army with the occupation forces in Japan following World War II. He graduated from the Wilcox High School in 1946 and from Clarion State College in 1952. Funeral services were held in Indiana Wednesday. Friends will be received at the Ubel Funeral Home today. Rev. Paul Alexander of Johnsonburg will officiate at the service and interment will be in the Ott Cemetery in Ridgway. Clarion Republican - Jan. 12, 1961 pg. 6
