FULLERTON — Dennis D. Hellbusch, 66, of Fullerton passed away with his family by his side Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fullerton. The Rev. Allen Pingel will officiate. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dennis was born Dec. 22, 1949, at St. Edward to Dale and Vera (Luft) Hellbusch. He lived with his family in various locations and attended his last school in Leigh. On Jan. 20, 1968, he married Marilyn Schaad. In 1970, the couple made their home in Fullerton. He worked at Mid-America Dairy for four years and Atlantic Homes in Central City for 28 years. In 2003, they purchased the Corner Bar and Grill in Wolbach, which they operated until they retired in 2014. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fullerton. His biggest enjoyment was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed classic and old country music, barbecuing for family, deer hunting, fishing and, in his younger years, raising bird dogs and coon dogs. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; four children, Sherry Frenzen of Fullerton, Jeff (Kay) Hellbusch of St. Edward, Greg (Ranee) Hellbusch of Lincoln, and Kurt (Kristi) Hellbusch of Shelton; 12 grandchildren, Nikki, Jessie and Ashley Frenzen, Tyler, Karli, Kenna, Kaitlin, Luke, Claire, Matthew, Cory and Dylan Hellbusch; mother, Vera Hellbusch of Fullerton; eight siblings, Darrell (Sue) Hellbusch of Fullerton, Doug (Carol) Hellbusch of Fullerton, Diane (Harold) Harris of Fullerton, David (Marti) Hellbusch of Genoa, Darla (Doug) Russell of Fullerton, Dick Hellbusch of Belgrade, Dan (Annette) Hellbusch of Columbus, and Debbie Sonderup of Fullerton. He was preceded in death by his father.
