Geyer, prominent Charlotte farmer and rancher, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home in Charlotte, Sunday. Funeral services for Mr. Geyer were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Officiating was the Rev. Walter Haynie, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charlotte. Interment was in the Charlotte City Cemetery. Mr. Geyer, who was born at LaCoste on May 23, 1908, moved to the Goldfinch community, Frio County, at an early age. This was his home until 1928 when he moved to Marfa where he was employed by Central Power and Light Company until Oct., 1946. At that time the family moved to Charlotte which had been his home since then. On June 7, 1941, Mr. Geyer married the former Monte Green of Ratcliff. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Monte Geyer; two sons, Frank Geyer, Jr. of Charlotte, and Edmund Geyer of Corpus Christi, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. Velma Geyer of Pleasanton; seven sisters, Mrs. Katie Mann, Mrs. Lizzie Mann, Mrs. Mary Mann, and Mrs. Alma Brauchle of Charlotte, Mrs. Pauline Stacy of Goldfinch, Mrs. Iola Williams (sic) of Big Foot, and Mrs. Julia Peterson of Brownfield; and two brothers, John Geyer of Harrison, Ark., and Edmund Geyer of Moore. Mr. Geyer was a member of the Charlotte city council, the Farm Bureau and the Farmers Union. Arrangements were by the Hurley Funeral Home."
