Cole, 77, of 3207 Nashville died Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. in a local hospital. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Chapel and burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Born Oct. 5, 1905 in Baird, she was the daughter of Charlie P. and Maggie Smith Cole. Miss Cole was a retired employee of the National Security Agency in Washington and a member of the Christian Church. She moved to Greenville in 1972. Surviving are brothers, Sperry Cole of Dallas and Homer Cole of Wellman; and sisters, Ruby Cole of Greenville and Louise Vaughn of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
