DEATH OF GEORGE SULLIVAN - OBITUARY Published in the Kellerton Globe Newspaper, Kellerton, Iowa on Thursday, November 19, 1903: "George V. Sullivan died Sunday Nov. 15, at his home in Kellerton, after an illness of over a year. Mr. Sullivan was born Dec. 29, 1850, in Jackson county, Ohio. He came to Ringgold county when a boy and has long been a respected citizen of the town in which he lived. He was married Sept. 6, 1874, to Miss Rebekah Caldwell. To them were born six children, all of whom are now living, and with their mother are left to mourn the loss of a kind father and husband. The children are Mrs. Elsie Wood of Granview, Louisa county, Mrs. Lula Dickinson and Mrs. Clara Jackson of Kellerton, Mrs. Ida McAninch of Caledonia, and Albert and Miss Alma, who are at home. Mr. Sullivan united with the Methodist church when quite young but later joined the Evangelical church and remained a faithful member until his death. Mr. Sullivan leaves beside his family three brothers and four sisters, Douglas and Fielding Sullivan living in Mt. Ayr. Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 at the Christian church in Kellerton, conducted by Rev. L.C. Swan."
