Sterling L. Walker 1935 - 2016 Sterling L. Walker of Lindon, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2016, surrounded by family. He was born on July 25, 1935, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the youngest of five sons of Arthell Arnold "Thell" Walker and Luella Swenson Walker. He grew up in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High school. After a semester of football at Snow College he met AnnaLee Meeks on a blind date. They were married on September 28, 1955; together they raised three children: Doug, Stacey and Vicki. After a short time as a salesman for Meadow Gold Dairies, he hired on with a new potato chip company called Clover Club and spent the next 43 years with them, working his way up to a Regional Sales Manager position. After retiring, he drove a school bus for Alpine School District for several years and thoroughly enjoyed driving the Lone Peak High School basketball team to many away games. A lifelong horseman, he was happiest while riding Timpanogos trails, especially with his daughter, Stacey. Even after he was unable to ride, he kept a horse (sometimes two) in the small pasture behind his house. He also enjoyed many years of hunting deer and pheasants and was an avid gardener. However, his family was always his first love. He worked hard to make sure his family was happy and had the things they needed. He helped all three children go to college and earn degrees. He doted on his five grandchildren and always looked forward to seeing them. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Arlo, Lloyd and Glade; and his oldest daughter, Stacey. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, AnnaLee; two children: Doug and Vicki (Stephen); five grandchildren: McKayla, Drew, Bailey, Brooke and Kiefer; and one brother, Howard.
