Bio
Mrs. Geraldine Planer, 19, wife of Val Planer, Pierce farmer and orchestra leader died about 2:30 a.m. Friday in a one-car accident 1 1/2 half miles north of Norfolk on U. S. 81. After investigation and autopsy reports were given it was found "medical history showed that Mrs. Planer had suffered from convulsions and it is now theorized that she experienced a convulsion and died as she died north on Highway 81, Mueting***said. The autopsy, conducted by the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, reported there were no broken bones and Mrs. Planer suffered only minor contusions from the accident." She had run off the road, hit a culvert, continued on and hit a embankment, went into a field and then hit a tree at an estimated speed of 35 to 40 miles an hour. The report said her body was knocked to the floor of the car and the weight of her body on the gasoline feed caused the automobile to travel a total of 684 feet before it hit the tree. She was survived by her husband, 1 son, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kurpgeweit at Norfolk. "The is the third death in the Planer family in recent weeks.
