Waxahachie (TX) Daily Light, Monday, Dec. 5, 1994, p. 10 Valoree Dunavant, 85, of the Rockett community, died Sunday morning, Dec. 4, 1994, at Vencor Hospital in Mansfield. Mrs. Dunavant was born Nov. 18, 1909 in Rockett to Columbus and Isabelle Jolly Humphries. She was a member of First Christian Church in Waxahachie. Survivors include a sister, Ila Faye Haigwood of Lancaster; two nieces, Betty Moyers of Lovington N.M., and Shirley Hullett of Waxahachie; nephews, Glenn Farrars of Rockett and Walter Dunavant of Red Oak; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Dunavant, and her parents, Columbus and Isabelle Humphries. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994, in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home, with Dr. Gary Bronson officiating Interment will follow in the Bells Chapel Cemetery in Rockett.
