Elizabeth King (born 1 Mar 1817), whose birth is recorded in the Hiram King Family Bible, was the daughter of Hiram King and Nancy Jane Jones. She married John J Stepp (also known as John Joseph Stepp) who was born abt 1817. He was the son of Joseph Stepp (1783-1863) and Elizabeth Jones (1790-1877). They appear on the 1840 census of Henderson County with two daughters and a son. In 1850, they are in Murray County, Georgia with six children. In 1860, they are in Greene County, Arkansas with seven children. In 1870 they are still in Greene County, Arkansas with four children. John J. Stepp, age 63, married, died January 1880 of pneumonia in Greene County, Arkansas. No further record of her. Their children were: Susan Stepp b. 1834 NC, m.
