Bio
Nita was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father on July 13, 2016. Nita was born December 23, 1933 in Spur, Texas to Ben and Bill Pettiet. She married Roy Lee Blair on March 8, 1952, and they spent 53 wonderful years together. As a longtime resident of shallowater, she worked in several area gins and retired from Precinct 4 Justice of Peace Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shallowater where she enjoyed being a member of the Glory Singers. Her passion was being with her grandkids and great-grandkids, they sure did love their "Granmother". Nita was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy Blair, her parents and one brother Ben. She is survived by her children, Rocky Blair and wife Sandra of Shallowater, Tracy Franklin and husband Roy of Wolfforth and Kelly Blair of Shallowater; her grandchildren, Tim Blair and wife Christie, Derek Blair and wife Heather, Kyle Blair and wife Sunny, Megan Blair, Justin Franklin and wife Rebecca, Dane Franklin and wife Amanda, Tanner Franklin and wife Theresa, Ashley Sackett and husband Eron and Tyler Blair; 25 adored great-Grandchildren; and her siblings, Linda Rankin, Bob Pettiet and wife Elner and Joe Pettiet. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Accolade Hospice of Lubbock for their compassion and care of our mother. Also, a special thank you to all of her friends that continually checked on her.
