OBITUARY: Pocahontas Record Democrat, Pocahontas, Iowa, Wednesday, 15 Dec 1999, pg. 4 Diane Lampe, 20 Jun 1954 - 7 Dec 1999 Diane Marie Lampe, 45, Sausalito, CA, formerly of Havelock and Pocahontas, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, at Pocahontas Community Hospital, Pocahontas, following a twelve year battle with cancer. A Memorial Mass was held Saturday, December 11, at 10 a.m., at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, Pocahontas, with Father Merle Kollasch and Monsignor Leonard Ziegmann officiating. As Diane had requested and planned, a ceremony will be held in California at a later date for the scattering of her cremated remains near the Golden Gate Bridge. Survivors include her parents, Don and Joan Lampe, Havelock; sister, Sue (Dean) Truog, Estherville; four brothers, Ron (Kris) Lampe, Havelock; Tom (Nancy) Lampe, Havelock; Mick (Kris) Lampe, Laurens; Jeff Lampe, Carroll; and ten nieces and nephews. Diane was born June 20, 1954 in Storm Lake. She graduated from Havelock-Plover High School in 1972 and from Iowa State University in 1978. She had lived in California for the past twenty years and was a resident of Sausalito, CA. at the time of her death. She was most recently employed by Whitman Hart as a sales representative.
