Bio

Weatherford Weekly Herald 9-2-1915 ________ Polk County, Tennessee didn't exist until Nov. 23, 1839. So she was probably born in Bradley County, McMinn or Monroe Counties. Bradley County was created from Indian lands in Feb. 1836, so that is most likely where she was born. She also could have been born in the Cherokee Indian lands that later became Polk County. There are a lot of early records in Bradley County, but no early records in Polk County because of multiple courthouse fires.
