Obit - Printed in the Glen Rose Reporter "October 20, 1914 - Mrs. P. A. Wood (Polly Ann Morrow) Mrs. P. A. Wood died at the home of Geo. Sirmons on Rock Creek, Tuesday evening, Oct. 20. She was born in Mo. April 19, 1836; married to John Wood at an early age; to which union was born five children; three girls and two boys. The girls have all passed away to their eternal rest. Both sons are yet living; one, Billy Woods, resides in this county; the other, Jim, lives in DeWitt county. She professed a hope in Christ before the Civil War and united with the Primitive Baptist Church in 1868 she moved to De Witt Co. and shortly afterward united with the Missionary Baptists. She remained a consistent member of that body until death, and believed in the triumphs of a living father. Her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Post Oak Wednesday evening in the presence of a large congregation of friends and relatives, after an impressive service conducted by Elder J. L. Collings. The Reporter extends sympathy to the bereaved."
