She was the daughter of Charles and Emma Miser. Lorena had three brothers and six sisters. She grew up and went to school in Burlington, Colorado and then to college in Greeley, Colorado, after which she taught for several years in country schools around Burlington. Lorena met Raymond Joseph Kennedy during this time and they were married June 18, 1922, at her parents' home. They lived in Colorado several years, moving to Aberdeen, Idaho in 1926. They later moved to American Falls, then the Eden/Hazelton area, and to Jerome in 1938. In 1944 they moved to Kimberly, where they lived until 1984 when they moved to Boise to live with their son, John. Lorena and Raymond celebrated over 62 years together. Raymond died February 19, 1985. Lorena and Raymond were the parents of seven children: Ruby E. Kennedy of Twin Falls; Harold R. Kennedy, now deceased; Alice (John) Carter of Mission Viejo, California; Clifford E. Kennedy and John L. Kennedy of Boise; Elaine R. Schmidt of Kimberly; Floyd D. Kennedy, now deceased; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Kennedy, of Pocatello. There are six grandsons: Raymond (Marsha) Kennedy, Mark Kennedy, Steven Kennedy, Gregg Kennedy, Winston Kennedy and Keith Kennedy. Seven grandaughters: Janet (Dick) Holmes, Anita (Jack) Bliss, Teresa (Richard) Schell, Kathryn (Richard) Jensen, Kim Kennedy, Karen (Todd) Biggs, and Sharon (Larry) Brown. Ten great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and four step-great-great grandchildren. Lorena was an accomplished pianist and played for the churches she attended. She also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Kimberly Christian Church. Funeral services, under the direction of Alden-Waggoner of Boise, will be held Friday, April 7, 1995, at 11 a.m., in the Kimberly Christian Church. Internment will be in the Twin Falls Cemetery.
