Services were held Monday, November 3, 2003, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Velma May Bradley,Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Bradley, 76, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Mrs. Bradley was born December 1,1926 in Checotah, Oklahoma; the daughter of Claude Green and Clara (Dryer) Green. On Dec. 30, 1944 she was married to Earl Dempsey Bradley in Dexter, New Mexico. She came to Artesia in 1988 from Cloudcroft, New Mexico. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1992. She was an Office Administrator for the U.S. Forest Service and member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and 2 brothers. Survivors include sons Jay Bradley and wife Jane of Los Lunas, NM, and Sam Bradley and wife Jill of Conroe, Texas; sisters Judy Fenstermaker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Pearl McTee of Denison, Texas, and Fay Bizzell of Artesia; brother Elmer Green of Harper, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
